MacReviver für Mac

This is malware, it added 10,000 files to my computer. Which took me a fews hours to get rid of. Beware it junk

I have owned Macs since the 80's and even provided Apple support for almost 5 years. I found this program installed on a relatives computer, who asked for assistance3 resolving an issue. FYI the trial period is not fully functional ( Good news for my Aunt) . For example if you are attempting to remove duplicate files during the "trial" you are prompted to register and then you are only allowed to remove approx 33% of these files without purchasing the subscription. Fair enough! Now for the serious issues encountered, I found that approximately of these 25% of the results were not actual duplicates, they were files with similar names! For Example, a plugin file was installed in the user library and the other in the system root library. This so called duplicate was designed to work in this manner! Furthermore, , when attempting to use the clean function. It provided a list of legitimate binary files to remove. For example Firefox.app!!!? and many other legitimate programs. ( not parts of this programs such as foreign language documents....the full program! I created this account to warn others to avoid this program. As others have stated there are much better programs available and for free. You can also perform these steps manually there are many options built into OS X itself to resolve issues. without having to rely on a 3rd party program that will delete your files and remove your applications.

What happens at the end of 12 months? Does it cease to work? Or just no more updates? What? Why don't they explain it? And then what we have here is yet another Windows developer porting an app that "cleans" or "optimises" or offer features that can be had for cheaper or free elsewhere.
